What is Likes XL? – It just won’t last

What is Likes XL

Likes XL has one of the most basic websites I have seen from a pay to click website. It looks unfinished. But does that matter?

Should you use your valuable time clicking on websites to make money and should you recommend this to people to make them money?

Let’s find out the answer to the question, what is Likes XL?

Summary

Product Name: Likes XL

Website url: http://www.likesxl.com/

Price: Either €29.90 a year, €29 a month, €39 a month, €55 a month PLUS additional downline fees

My Rating: 1 out of 5

My Recommendation: Likes XL is one of MANY emerging rev share businesses popping up at the moment. But it’s not a very good one. Don’t bother wasting your time and spend your time on building a REAL business, the right way, check out my top choice.

What is Likes XL about?

LIkes XL is a relatively new business being registered in August of 2015. It is yet another rev share company that has emerged in the last year. I cannot believe how many of these are popping up all over the place.

Essentially its an advertising platform where you can earn money in 3 ways:

  • You can earn money by clicking on other peoples ads. (pay to click – this is very low paying)
  • You can advertise your business and you will need to buy ad packs to do this. In purchasing these ad packs, it enables you to participate the revenue share aspect of the business.
  • In addition you can earn by recruiting people to join the business and take a commission on their ad pack spend and membership fee. There is more on this in the compensation plan section.

This is a standard formula for this type of ‘advertising and rev share’ business.

The problem is there is no real product to sell, and by this I mean nothing that is retail able to the general public. Affiliate of LIkes XL are only able to sell affiliate membership to others.

The Likes XL compensation plan

The ad packs

The ad packs that I mentioned above are 50 Euros each (they call them PR packs). So how does this work?

Firstly you must join the program and pay a monthly fee to become part of Likes XL: The level on which you join determines the total number of ad packs you are allowed to buy.

  • Green (€29.90 a year) – 50 PR packs
  • Silver (€29 a month) – 150 PR packs
  • Gold (€39 a month) – 300 PR packs
  • Diamond (€55 a month) – 900 PR packs

Once you have purchased your ad packs and paid your membership fess you become part of the rev share. This means you get a return on investment for each ad pack, and this pays out daily. Typically the return on investment is between 0.35 Euros and 1.20 Euros per day

Recruiting people to join the business

If you can recruit people to join LIkes XL, then you will get paid on an MLM style matrix.

They have used a Unilevel compensation plan. This means that everyone you recruit is placed directly under you in the matrix. Anyone that your recruits have recruited, is placed directly under them, making them also appear ultimately under you, but one further level down.

The level on which you joined, ie whether you are green, silver etc, determines how much commission you get from each of your downlines: The percentage value that you see here is the percentage of funds invested in PR packs

  • Green (€29.90 a year) –  You will get 4% on levels 1 and 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on level 5
  • Silver (€29 every month) – You will get 6% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on level 5
  • Gold (€39 every month) – You will get 8% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on level 5
  • Diamond (€55 every month) – Exactly the same as the gold level.

Want to build a business which doesn’t rely on recruiting people?

Check out my top choice

How much does it cost to join?

Well firstly you have the membership fee.

  • Green (€29.90 a year)
  • Silver (€29 a month)
  • Gold (€39 a month)
  • Diamond (€55 a month)

In order to earn from your downlines you must pay an ADDITIONAL downline fee of between 60 Euros to 180 Euros. This is based on how many levels you want to collect payment from.

For example, if you want to collect on 3 levels down you pay 60 Euros, if you want to collect on 4 levels you pay 120 Euros and if you want to collect on all 5 levels (the max no of levels required) you must pay 180 Euros

That’s not all – Plus you have to pay a minumum of 50 Euros for the basic ad pack.

My verdict

in case you hadn’t spotted it already, Likes XL is a ponzi scheme. Where investment for older investors is just via the recruitment of new investors. Which generally means it won’t last long.

A normal life span for a Ponzi scheme is around 2 years. Normally what happens is that recruitment of new investors (affiliates), slows after the initial launch buzz and then there is nothing to pay out for the ad packs ROI, the cycle dries up and where is your money in this cycle?

I think this will definitely be the case with Likes XL as this seems a particularly poorly put together Rev share and I would be surprised if it even lasted 2 years.

The addition of a downline fee is unusual in this kind of business and suggests that you have to pay to get paid. This is treading on really dodgy ground. In order for an MLM to be legit (it is using an MLM compensation plan), the product needs to be able to make you money selling it alone, and commission should be based on sales NOT on the amount of fees an affiliate pays to join.

I would run a mile from this program. When they go down, which they will, they will just take your money with them.

So what now?

So you still want to earn money online? Likes XL really is not the way. If you are interested in making money online from your own online business you will need to learn how to build something sustainable and long term which could really significantly change your life.

    • That’s Awful news Yuna. I am sorry to hear you had to go through this. But thank you so much for sharing your findings. In doing so, this will help warn others away from joining Likes XL and wasting their money too.

Thank you for telling us about this scam. Actually I read somewhere that “Likes XL” is under investigation. Hopefully another scam will die. But unfortunately there are a lot of this kind of “websites” which still work so keep with this good work and don’t stop telling us about what is scam and what is not . Thank you 🙂

I just can’t stand this sort of thing – actually it makes me angry. Can’t these sort of sites be made illegal!? Maybe it’s a matter of time. I just don’t get why anyone would spend their time clicking away on ads too, the amount you make is next to nothing, so many better ways to make cash.

This is the the problem, there is no internet police. There should be, because people get scammed every day with these types of businesses. Shocking really isn’t it. That is why you find people with these kind of website making sure that others do not get scammed like maybe they have. I see that you have seen it for what it is anyway.
